Matinta Pereira is depicted in her terrifying bird-woman form in this eerie vignette. The Brazilian folklore witch stands hunched on a twisted, gnarled tree branch, body covered in dark, wrinkled, bark-like skin with grotesque elongated limbs and clawed hands gripping the branch tightly. She has massive, tattered bat-like wings spread wide, a hooded cloak of ragged cloth draped over her head, long stringy grey hair hanging down, large bulging yellow eyes, and a beak-like mouth open in a menacing snarl. Small details include a gourd tied to her waist with rope and scattered swampy foliage, moss, and mushrooms on the base for a dark, cursed forest atmosphere.
