Built by hobbyists. Owned by veterans. Powered by passion. HLI3DFX was created by lifelong model builders who believe the hobby should be accessible, exciting, and inspiring for everyone. What started as a small idea between friends grew into a resin 3D printing and FX studio dedicated to high-quality 3D printed figures, busts, bases, and effects boards for modelers and collectors around the world.
Who We Are
Kenny – United States Army Veteran & Co-Founder. Kenny has been building, painting, print-testing, filming, and reviewing models for decades. After serving in the U.S. Army, he brought the same discipline, attention to detail, and pride in craftsmanship into building a brand that supports hobbyists with the quality they deserve. Kenny prints in resin, paints the models, tests electronics, reviews tools, and interacts with the HLI community daily.
Paul – Royal Air Force Veteran & Co-Founder. Paul served in the Royal Air Force and crossed paths with Kenny through the modeling world. His collector’s eye and passion for quality help shape product direction, model selection, and long-term vision. Together, Kenny and Paul form an allied, service-based partnership built on integrity and craft.
Spencer – FX Board Testing & Programming Specialist. Spencer handles board validation, microcontroller firmware, electrical testing, and programming for HLI FX and lighting boards. His work ensures our electronics are stable, reliable, and built with the needs of long-term seasonal dioramas and collector displays in mind.
Tommy – Systems & Web Infrastructure Lead. Tommy runs platform support, site stability, optimization, plugin deployment, and all behind-the-scenes digital infrastructure. His late nights troubleshooting keep the HLI storefront and community platform moving forward.
