The HLIFX_002 Lighting Control Board delivers accurately timed navigation and strobe lighting effects, along with selectable dynamic impulse engine effects. Designed for straightforward integration, this board is ideal for lighting model builds such as the U.S.S. Grissom, U.S.S. Excelsior, or a battle-damaged Enterprise Refit. This is a board-only product (no cables, switches, power supplies, or LEDs included).

The board operates on 9V–12V DC input. VIN is the positive (+) power connection and GND is the negative (–) power connection. It has been tested for stable, reliable performance across the entire supported voltage range.

The HLIFX_002 features multiple outputs: Point A controls navigation lights with optional flashers accurate to Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. Point B drives strobes with screen-accurate flash timing for Grissom, Excelsior, and Enterprise Refit models. Point C controls the impulse engine effect, offering two selectable modes—smooth pulsating with flicker overlay by default, or randomized flickering when Point D is jumpered to ground (power cycle required for the change to take effect). Point E is unused and should remain disconnected.

The board supports multiple LEDs per output (up to 12 per channel). LEDs must be current-limited either with inline resistors (470Ω for 9V, 680Ω for 12V) or by using pre-resistored LEDs. LEDs should be wired with resistors on the anode side, and cathodes connected back to the board. VIN must never be directly connected to any control points (A, B, C, or D) to avoid damage. Proper insulation and soldering practices are required for safe installation.
